Damage to agriculture and difficulty even just leaving one's homes. In the localities of S'Orecanu, Perducollu and Turritas Arrieras, between the municipalities of Pula, Villa San Pietro, Sarroch and Teulada, a large group of bulls and cattle that have now gone feral continue to cause problems.

There are around 80 animals that also creep into private properties, scaring residents and tourists.

An example? The area of the Sa Turritta farmhouse: «We are fed up with this situation» says Maurizio Lucarelli, owner of the farmhouse, «our children no longer leave the house in the evening for fear of these beasts that wander around. We hope that the Municipality and the Region find an agreement as soon as possible to definitively resolve the issue."

Pula barracelli patrols also operate daily in the area. «We try to do everything possible – explains commander Gianluca Spagnolu – to prevent these wild animals from entering private and inhabited areas. Our commitment is targeted so that the situation can worsen further."
