The mystery
The 58-year-old, a home in the historic center and working in the municipal social construction site, has disappeared into thin air since late Saturday afternoon. Shortly before, he had been accompanied to Tortolì by a family member. He had to meet someone. Perhaps an appointment agreed in the previous hours. The fact is that those who brought him to the town, after a few hours without contact, expressed their first concerns and turned to the carabinieri. The worker's phone rang empty until the signal went silent. Once the complaint was filed, the searches of the carabinieri officially started, and they tracked down the person who had welcomed Mosè Cao in Tortolì. Between Monday and Tuesday the man was heard twice, but investigators keep the utmost confidentiality on his testimony. Certainly he provided explanations on the transfer by car out of Tortolì where he left Cao with another person, whose identity is deep mystery. In the meantime, the military has beaten the countryside and some houses, but also the Ogliastra hinterland. Nothing can be left to chance, including recent news events.
Seemingly serene
On Friday morning Mosè Cao was in the courtroom of Lanusei together with his lawyer Paolo Pilia. He had to answer for the violation of the personal prevention measure of the residence obligation in Lotzorai. A venial sin, compared to the pending charges in the ongoing trial for drug trafficking, which he would have had to pay with a forty-day sentence that could be converted into socially useful work.
