The orange alert issued for tomorrow by the regional civil protection is worrying in Capoterra . The fourteenth anniversary of the terrible flood of 2008 is approaching (it was 22 October) and in the hinterland of Cagliari there are still fears for the hydrogeological fragility of the territory.

So in view of the heavy rains expected for tomorrow (details here) the mayor Beniamino Garau, by order, has ordered the closure of all schools of all levels. Barred gates also in parks, public and private sports facilities in the municipal area, at the eco-center and in the municipal cemetery.

No lessons even in Assemini : Commissioner Bruno Carcangiu, who leads the municipality, decided it. The order was issued in the late afternoon today.

Late in the evening the same choice was made by the mayor of Sarroch, Angelo Dessì : “The rainfall will increase between the end of the morning and the early afternoon. The decision is aimed at guaranteeing the safety of pupils, parents and school staff ”.

The Municipality of Cagliari, on the other hand, makes it known that in the event of a significant worsening of the weather "the opening and closing times of parks and municipal green areas could be subject to localized last-minute restrictions, hand in hand with the evolution of the alert. ".

No restrictions , other than those imposed by the rules dictated by the criticality notice, are foreseen in the municipality of Quartu.
