Weapons, drugs and stolen goods: flurry of checks in the Nuoro area

Flurry of checks and searches by the Carabinieri of the Lanusei Company, coordinated by the local Public Prosecutor's Office, in search of weapons, drugs and stolen goods hidden in the territories of Talana and Lotzorai.

Dozens of men from the Territorial Army operated with the support of the Carabinieri of the Heliported Hunters Squadron of Sardinia and with the help of dog units.

During the operation, a 31-year-old originally from Lanusei was reported because he was caught inside a house in the countryside of Talana, where narcotic substances, a blank pistol and a hydraulic excavator for earthmoving with the number of abraded series, proceeds of theft.

The vehicle was found stolen last May, in Tortolì, from a construction site of the Ogliastra Reclamation Consortium.

In the same operation, a 36-year-old from Talana was also reported, found in possession of blank weapons, seized, used to commit crimes against people and property.
