Photo traps to combat degradation in the industrial agglomeration of Porto Torres. This was decided by the Provincial Industrial Consortium of Sassari, which has arranged a “Stand-alone” system, capable of combating the indiscriminate abandonment of waste along the areas bordering production activities. The investment amount is approximately 35 thousand euros, with the installation of the system being entrusted to the company Coopservice soc.coop.

The president of the industrial consortium, Simona Fois, also announced a redevelopment project that includes the installation of a new public lighting system in the industrial area of the production sector. The aim is to improve safety by facilitating control and intervention on behaviors that are against urban decorum. The photo traps will be placed in sensitive areas, where the consortium has detected the reiteration of uncivilized actions that damage the environment.

Piles of waste that had been removed in the past, even though the problems had arisen again. The surveillance system will allow us to identify any responsible parties, but it will also act as a deterrent to prevent the repetition of certain behaviors aimed at spreading illegal landfills in the area.
