Warning in Sardinia: storm winds and storm surges are coming
The Civil Protection issued a warning of adverse weather conditions valid until the morning of Tuesday 22 February
The activity of the polar vortex that is lashing northern Europe risks bringing furious winds over Italy as well.
According to the weather experts, therefore, the beginning of next week could be characterized by rain, thermal drop and very strong winds, especially from the north and on Sardinia.
On the island, in particular, a drop in temperatures is expected, accompanied by strong gusts and even rough seas.
The regional civil protection has therefore issued, for the day of Monday 21 February and until the early hours of the morning of Tuesday 22, an alert for adverse weather conditions.
"Strong winds from west north-west are expected - reads the bulletin issued by ProCiv, locally stormy winds on the coasts and on the ridges. Sea storms will also be possible on the exposed coasts".
