The investigating judge of the Tempio Pausania court, Marco Contu, has ordered the precautionary detention of the three French Algerians, arrested in recent days, accused of having stolen valuable watches from several tourists on the Costa Smeralda and in other locations in Arzachena.

The three are charged with bag snatching and robbery. The alleged perpetrators of the incidents in Porto Cervo and Cannigione have denied the charges brought by Public Prosecutor Mauro Lavra. According to rumors, the Carabinieri are tracking a fourth alleged accomplice of the arrested individuals . Carabinieri personnel recovered one of the watches stolen from the tourists.

The three, defended by lawyers Daniela Peru, Giuseppe Remedia, Maria Assunta Argiolas, and Brunilda Sanna Mucaj, will be transferred to Bancali prison pending the judicial decision.
