An app that helps report and prevent incidents of gender violence, financed using the crowdfunding method. It is called " Right Touch ", it was created by 5 students from the Mossa high school in Olbia and it is also the winner of " Hacking-Communities, let's rethink cities from a circular economy perspective ". The project, conceived by the Rumundu association and promoted by the Sardinia Foundation, involved 90 young people from various institutes in Sardinia who participated in the final event, in recent days at the Department of Pharmacy and Chemistry of the University of Sassari.

The challenge of the hackathon, which lasted over five hours, was the development of projects aimed at rethinking cities with a view to economic, social and environmental sustainability , with a focus on concrete solutions to improve their communities. Throughout the day, students were supported by a team of experts as they analysed, implemented and refined their ideas. «In Sardinia, where school dropout rates are among the highest in Europe, these projects offer a way to involve students in a significant way, reducing the risk of disinterest in school», explains Stefano Cucca from Rumundu.

On the highest point of the podium, with a prize of 1000 euros, the team of Francesca, Leonardo, Marco, Stefania and Marianna who focused on the emergency issue of violence against women. In second and third place, the jury of experts voted for projects concerning agriculture and sustainability in the sector with respectively the "Braccia Rubate" team of the Pellegrini Agricultural Institute of Sassari, with a prize of 750 euros and in third place the team "Serra2030" of the IIS Fermi of Alghero, 500 euros for them to start laying the foundations of the project. A special prize was awarded to the "Aupat - Add a place at the table" team from the IIS Fermi in Alghero, which developed a co-housing project to help lonely elderly people and off-site students. The young winners will be supported by industry experts to develop their projects.
