A hunter from the province of Oristano in trouble accused of poaching.

In fact, the Forestry Corps discovered that it had created several stations for "baiting" - that is, food deposits intended to attract wild boars - an activity prohibited by hunting law.

The man was surprised by the staff of the Villaurbana Forestry Station, in the Crannaxiu area, while he was waiting for his prey armed with a rifle.

Then the identification and criminal seizure of the hunting vehicles began, with the documents then transmitted to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Oristano.

“Bait baiting” is a crime that provides for a fine of up to 2,065 euros and in the most serious cases – as this one is considered to be – imprisonment for up to six months.
