A 44-year-old farmer from Villasor , already known to the police and entrusted to social services, was arrested this morning . The blitz began at the first light of dawn in the rural town of Bruncu Su Laccu: the carabinieri of the local station were involved, aided by colleagues from Serramanna, from the Radiomobile of the Sanluri Company and with the collaboration of two operational teams from the Heliported Hunters Squadron of Abbasanta .

The man was taken to prison, for the same reasons his 35-year-old partner was arrested and placed under house arrest .

The victim of the harassment of the farmer and his partner is a 45-year-old labourer. Irregularly hired as a shepherd servant, the man was exploited and unpaid, mistreated, deprived of his cell phone and forced to stay in dilapidated structures. The unfortunate person could not get away and was often beaten and injured . At the end of 2023 he managed to put an end to his nightmare: he escaped with the help of his sister, the medical-legal examinations highlighted the cruelty of the mistreatment he suffered, which also caused him aggravated permanent injuries with deformation of his appearance .

Hence the arrest of the 44-year-old for the crimes of enslavement, plagiarism, aggravated permanent injuries with disfigurement of appearance and use of illegal workers.

It does not end here. During the blitz , the entire area was searched and in the surroundings of the house the soldiers found an impressive amount of materials including intact cars and wreckage, carcasses, spare parts and engine parts. Thirty tons . An illegal junkyard, essentially: all the material, the police found, was put up for sale on the web. So the farmer was also reported for unauthorized management of special waste .
