About ten German hikers were stuck at the Rio Flumini durci in the territory of Villaputzu. The river has in fact swelled in the last few hours due to bad weather, preventing tourists from returning.

It was they who, in the late afternoon, sounded the alarm with the arrival of the firefighters of the San Vito office who immediately reached the town, taking tourists across the river with their vehicles.

Then all the people were rescued, while it was impossible, at the moment, to recover their cars, which remained in an area near the river.

The hikers then reached their holiday location with some taxis.

In the Sarrabus it has rained abundantly since last night, causing some rivers to swell after months of worrying drought.
