Villagrande, severe weather emergency: dams under constant surveillance

After yesterday's pre-alert phase, starting today the five dams (Bau Mela, Bau Mandara, Bau Muggeris, Sa Teula and Santa Lucia) located in the Villagrande area and which flow into the Flumendosa are in the alert phase for discharge downstream (at the Primo salto two floodgates have been opened to allow the water to flow out).

Landslides and landslides were also reported in the hamlet of Villanova Strisaili, particularly affecting roads between Bau Mandara and Leppori. Mayor Alessio Seoni closed the Is Funtanas road. There was widespread flooding in the area.
