Villagrande, former mayor Peppuccio Columbano dies: fatal heart attack at home

He suffered a heart attack last night at his home in Villagrande . A fatal illness for Giuseppe Columbano, known as Peppuccio . He was 66 years old (he would have turned 67 on January 17th).

An engineer by profession, Columbano had been mayor of Villagrande between 1990 and 1995. Before his highest position he had been an administrator, holding positions as deputy mayor and councilor. He designed numerous works, especially in the public sector, during his professional career. He was well known even beyond the Ogliastra borders .
