A woman ended up in hospital after being hit by a car in Villacidro.
It is a 53-year-old woman who was crossing the road in the pouring rain when – perhaps also due to poor visibility – she was hit by a car driven by an 83-year-old man.
After the impact, near the pedestrian crossing, the man stopped to help the unfortunate woman, then alerting 118.
The 53-year-old was thus transferred to the Nostra Signora di Bonaria hospital in San Gavino Monreale, where she was assigned a 40-day prognosis.
After the ambulance restarted, the 83-year-old spontaneously went to the local police station to self-report the incident and acknowledge his responsibilities.
