Van on fire between Sestu and Assemini: the firefighters intervene

Intervention by the fire brigade on the sp 2 at km 2,400, between Sestu and Assemini , for the fire of a van .
The driver, in the late morning of today, noticed that smoke was coming out of the engine compartment and immediately stopped in a pitch. The flames then also spread to the outside of the vehicle and to the surrounding vegetation .
The man called the emergency number 115 and the operations room of the Command immediately sent two emergency response teams who put out the fire with a fire engine and a tanker.

The area and the roadway were then made safe . Investigations have also started to establish the causes, of probable electrical origin.
The road was temporarily closed to traffic for the fire extinguishing operations .
No person is involved.
