Urzulei celebrating its centenary Battistina Marras .

She celebrated the beautiful milestone of her century of life with a cake and surrounded by the affection of her beloved family, in the company of friends, neighbors and the parish priest Don Marco Congiu. The mayor Ennio Arba and the administration also presented her with a commemorative plaque.

Woman of the past, in life as well as running the house and looking after the family she has always worked in the countryside, she collected the asphodel from which she made, with the stems, the "corbule" creating wonderful handcrafted baskets .

She sewed and embroidered, she herself made the typical costume of the village for her daughters and granddaughters. Known and loved for her generosity, always ready to give advice and help everyone.

Today she is a widow with four children and three grandchildren . In winter he loves to stay in front of the fireplace and on sunny days enjoy the sun.

She still eats everything, like homemade culurgiones and minestrone, like the one she once made.

"For us it is a pride - says his daughter Rita - he taught us everything".
