Areus' first corporate act presented to trade unions.
This is the first strategic business organization plan with which the regional company for the emergency and urgency of Sardinia actually lays the foundations for the legal recognition of all the activities of Areus , with its articulations and functions already assigned and then reconfirmed by the last Health Reform of 2020.
The company proposal, built on the basis of the definitive guidelines approved by the Sardinia Region, has acquired the favorable opinion of all the managers of the Company and of the trade unions . In the next few days the Act will therefore be formally submitted to the scrutiny of the Region to be definitively approved.
The company deed, Areus says, "consolidates all the functions already started by Areus since its establishment, including managing and making the emergency-urgency medical assistance in the Sardinian territory homogeneous through the 118 system with base stations , advanced and helicopter rescue, as well as intra-regional coordination and that between Sardinia and the other regions in relation to transfusion activities, blood exchange and compensation as well as logistical activities related to transplants ".
The Strategic Plan introduces "for the first time important innovations for Sardinia : the activation by the end of the year of the Single Emergency Number (NUE) 112, thus implementing the directive of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union which a Single Response Center for the emergency numbers of 118, Carabinieri, Police, Fire Brigade and Harbor Master's Office. An important innovation in the emergency urgency system that will insert the island among the Italian regions that have already started the model.
Another novelty of the Corporate Deed is the operation starting from 2023 of the Single Harmonized Number 116117, the free telephone service for non-urgent medical care, which will thus follow up on the provisions of the PNRR ”.
