Damage and inconvenience in all of Gallura due to very strong gusts of wind that are scourging the entire northeastern coast of the island.

In Olbia, the wind uprooted trees in the center: via Roma , near the church of the Holy Family, was closed to allow the roadway to be cleared. Other plants ended up on the road in Pittulongu and in via Vittorio Veneto. Problems also in the new state railway station, also in the city centre: some panels ended up on parked cars . No damage to people has been reported, but in the meantime Mayor Settimo Nizzi has signed an ordinance ordering the closure of the "Fausto Noce" park until Sunday morning.

The Fire Brigade also carried out dozens of interventions in Tempio and Arzachena . The Decentralized Functional Center of Civil Protection of Sardinia has issued a bulletin of adverse weather conditions for wind and storm surges valid from today until 6pm tomorrow. The bulletin reads: «From the morning of 10 March and for the following 33 hours, winds up to storms are expected, with local storm gusts from the west/north-west on the seas surrounding Sardinia. Sea storms along the exposed northern coasts, attenuation of the phenomena on the evening of Saturday 11 March»
