One of the two men arrested on June 4 for the attempted aggravated theft of a paid parking machine, which occurred in the middle of the night in the city center, returned to prison today.
The subject, a 42-year-old unemployed resident in the San Michele district , already known to the police, had been subjected to the alternative measure of probation to social services since 2023, following a conviction for robbery committed in the province of Cagliari.
The new restrictive measure, issued by the Cagliari Surveillance Office on the proposal of the Cagliari Sant'Avendrace Carabinieri Station, arose from repeated violations of the provisions imposed under the alternative measure.
This morning the military arrested him at his home and, after completing the formal procedures, took him to Uta prison, where he will serve a remaining sentence of nine months.
