Untraceable and poorly preserved food, dirt and insects: this is what the NAS found during checks in the coastal towns of southern Sardinia and in Cagliari.

An initial operation by the Carabinieri led to the discovery of around 150 kilos of untraceable and frozen fish products in a restaurant in Sant'Anna Arresi. The food was seized and the owner will have to pay a fine of 3,500 euros.

The military's work continued in a bakery in Cagliati where the specialists, in collaboration with ASL 8 personnel from Cagliari, found terrible sanitary and pest conditions in the rooms intended for the processing and preparation of baked products. The activity was suspended, with a fine of 1000 euros.
