Parking lots cordoned off and employees waiting for answers. This is the situation at Brotzu in Cagliari, seven months after a heavy wooden structure collapsed on a car , in the hospital parking lots. The situation, never resolved, has raised concerns from the Unione Sindacale di Base and its representative Gianfranco Angioni , who is calling for a quick solution to the problem. "Fortunately," explains Angioni, "there were no visitors or employees at the time of the accident, thus avoiding potential injuries. However, initial checks revealed that this heavy structural part was rotten and supported by only two screws, one on each side, raising serious questions about the overall safety of the structure."

"It is unacceptable - continues the union representative - that dozens of parking spaces for cars continue to be fenced off and marked with signs warning of danger of falling . If there are dangers, there is no point in wasting time; the shelters must be immediately demolished . We urgently ask what measures have been adopted to guarantee safety after our formal request."

The USB has asked the Extraordinary Commissioner to return the entire area under the shelters to car parking. Among the points raised by the union are also those relating to the "privilege granted to the directors of the structures for the assignment of reserved parking and all the areas used by the various construction sites". "This condition is unworthy and indecent and must be resolved immediately, without further hesitation", Angioni reiterates.
