University of Sassari, Minister Schillaci at the inauguration of the academic year

The Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci arrived this morning at the inauguration of the 463rd academic year of the University of Sassari. Before going up to the Sassari Aula Magna, he made a statement: «I know the University of Sassari well, especially the Faculty of Medicine, which I have had the opportunity to appreciate and consider an example of excellence».
This afternoon the minister will meet the mayors of Sassari, Alghero and Ozieri and several health workers to also talk about the future of hospitals.
Minister Schillaci was welcomed by the university choir that sang "Procurade e' moderare", while the Italian anthem was sung by the tenor from Porto Torres, Francesco Demuro.
Representing the Region was the Councilor for Tourism Franco Cuccureddu: "I bring greetings from President Alessandra Todde, absent due to commitments related to the Budget. The Sardinia Region in the budget law has allocated an additional 17 million to the two Sardinian universities to compensate for the State cuts".
