It is a green lung of Porto Torres, frequented by jogging and cycling enthusiasts, a nature reserve worthy of respect. Yet in the Platamona pine forest, in the stretch near the Abbacurrente tower, incivility and bad habits have left traces of rudeness.

It is sufficient to enter the green area that runs along the provincial road 81 to witness the indecorous signs of a mountain bike event, held yesterday, Friday 2 June: the ribbons used to delimit the route have remained there, abandoned on the ground, almost as a frame to the trees, long bands of fabric that "decorate" the trees, an offense to nature that reveals itself in all its strength to the eyes of those who walk and play sports.

The public good used and then defaced when it seems to no longer serve. But when the light of day returns, the plants are not enough to conceal the grave forgetfulness of whoever was authorized to use that asset. For these reasons, the residents urge the police, each within their own competence, to try to enforce the splendid pine forest.
