Emergency intervention for a pregnant woman. The prefecture of Sassari has arranged the emergency transfer, with an aircraft of the Air Force's air team, of a woman in her 38th week of waiting, whose fetus was in imminent danger of life.

The activation of the emergency procedure was requested by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the AOU of Sassari , to allow the transfer of the woman to the Maternal and Fetal Medicine department of the AOU of Careggi (Florence), identified in relation to the capacity to subject the unborn child to particular specialist treatments, which are not practicable at the health facility of origin.

The Air Force plane, a Falcon 900, took off from Rome and departed from Alghero, after having taken on board the patient and the medical team to constantly monitor the vital functions of the fetus during transport, and then landed in the Tuscan capital after about an hour.
