Fire destroys a Poetto kiosk: the hypothesis of a gas leak

The Tagoo Beach Club kiosk in Poetto di Quartu was destroyed by fire during the night.

According to initial information, around 4am two strong explosions were heard a long way from the coast.

The firefighters intervened immediately with two teams, 3 support vehicles, the service officer and the investigative unit, for a total of 20 operators.

The structure, which also housed a restaurant and dance space, was incinerated.

The causes of the fire are currently uncertain: as the hours pass, the hypothesis is gaining ground that it may have been triggered by a gas leak from some LPG cylinders.

At work there are specialists from the fire brigade, agents from the police station in via Firenze and the carabinieri from the Quartu company.
