Manuela Murgia may have been sexually assaulted or had violent sexual intercourse and then been hit and killed on purpose by a car while she was trying to get dressed.
This is the unpublished detail revealed during the program Detectives – aired yesterday evening on Rai 2 – which raises new disturbing questions about what happened to the sixteen-year-old found dead on February 5, 1995 in the Tuvixeddu canyon . It is one of the many circumstances that in recent days have convinced the Cagliari Prosecutor's Office to reopen the investigation after 30 years, with the hypothesis of voluntary homicide, after the case had been archived as suicide, a theory that the family has never believed.
And it was precisely the consultant appointed by the relatives, the coroner Roberto Demontis, who convinced the prosecutors to resume the investigation: in his consultancy, made by analyzing the results of the tests on the body and the photographic material available, the expert hypothesized that Manuela was killed by a car and then dragged into the canyon where she was found when she was already dead. Not only that: before that, she also had sexual intercourse with her murderer, probably a rape, the signs of which were visible in the autopsy photos.
