"This morning too we are already accumulating an hour and a half of delay . Will I arrive at work, and when? I don't know yet, seized by an inadequate railway network ."

Thus begins the outburst of Emanuele Figus, one of the many commuters stranded this morning – but like many other times, as he explains to UnioneSarda.it – on the railway line between Cagliari and Olbia.

" I am a season ticket holder, I have been travelling the Cagliari-Abbasanta route for four years to get to work in Borore - he explains - and I and the others who use the trains with me every morning are tired of these constant inconveniences ".

Figus cites " inadequate vehicles " and continuous " malfunctions related to the line and the signs " that cause the trains to accumulate unspecified delays.

"We are many," he adds, "and we are tired of being treated worse than mailbags... no precise news from the staff other than a bland "we have electrical problems on the line." But don't these trains run on diesel?!?"

"We have ridiculous travel times," Figus adds, "two hours to travel 140 km." And "in the meantime," the bitter conclusion, " we are still stuck in Samassi and the delay is increasing, we are almost at an hour and fifty minutes...the kidnapping continues ."

« Oristano station , almost an hour and fifty minutes late and no one to explain to the commuters what happened – adds another reader – we are here totally abandoned to ourselves ».

A brief note on the matter arrived late this morning from Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). « Railway circulation has been significantly slowed down – the note reads – since the early hours of this morning along the Cagliari-Golfo Aranci line due to a technical problem . Regional trains are experiencing delays and cancellations . RFI technicians are at work».
