A near tragedy yesterday, Saturday 1 July, at Poetto, where a drowning child was saved by an off-duty Guardia di Finanza inspector .

Suddenly, while the bathers crowded the Cagliari beach, the desperate screams of a woman attracted the attention of those present. The two-year-old son was in the water.

Luckily at the sea, off duty and with his family, there was an inspector from the Guardia di Finanza of the Cagliari Air Force Operations Department. The financier intervened immediately, pulled little L. out of the water and applied first aid maneuvers , managing to make the child breathe.

A lot of fear, but the intervention of the military averted the tragic epilogue. The child's mother was in shock who, after the intervention of the financier, took her son back in her arms and, once reassured, took him to the hospital with other family members, where the child was declared out of danger and discharged .
