The tractor protest in Sardinia does not stop, it doubles.

Anger also explodes in Northern Sardinia . And on the day in which several Sardinian shepherds and farmers leave for Rome, a new permanent garrison is born at the seaport of Porto Torres .

The tractors, coming from all over the north of the island, this morning around 9.20 entered the square in front of the western pier , starting the setting up of the garrison.

Around 40 tractors will be hosted in the area, which will slow down port activities as has been happening for days in Cagliari . A gazebo has been set up to shelter from the weather and eat.

The protest will last at least five days, "if things don't change even longer", explains Massimiliano Gobbato, 54 years old, a farmer from Santa Maria La Palma , Alghero, one of the promoters of the event. “There is a lot of anger, this Europe doesn't make us do anything, it's only penalizing us,” he says.

Then he lines up the requests: «We ask for our rights to be respected, for our products to be valued and paid fairly, for our taxes to be lowered, for the price of diesel and fertilizer to be lowered , because we can no longer go forward like this. ».
