About fifty vehicles and around 200 operators from the agricultural sector in procession on state road 597, from the gathering on the overpass that leads to Tula towards Su Campu on the Sassari-Olbia road. The tractor march spreads to the north of the island.

For over a month, the mobilization in the various territories of Sardinia has replicated the protests taking place in the rest of the country against the EU's policies on the CAP, a community agricultural policy considered an enemy to those who produce food.

«Up to now there have been few concrete responses to our requests, something is moving but nothing is certain», underlines Carlo Oggianu, a farmer from Tergu, «we are awaiting solutions on the price of diesel, actions aimed at safeguarding the production of this region and stringent controls on foodstuffs food coming from countries that do not respect our own phytosanitary regulations".

Tomorrow a delegation of shepherds and farmers will travel to Rome for a table with the institutions. «Two people from each region for a meeting that I hope will lead to some concrete solutions», adds Oggianu, «and not to promises received until now».

Escorted by the police, the column of tractors traveled along a stretch of state road 597, moving from the crossroads to Tula.
