At the end of June everything must be ready to welcome the organic waste of half of Sardinia , to avoid the environmental emergency in the middle of summer.

This was established this morning in Nuoro in the technical meeting that took place in the prefecture between the Prefect Giancarlo Dionisi, the extraordinary commissioner of the Province, the president of the provincial Industrial Consortium, the president of Tossilo Spa and the liquidator commissioner of the industrial consortium of Macomer.

Therefore, the so-called Composting Platform must be ready in Tossilo by June .

The transfer of organic waste, which coincides with the beginning of summer and the tourist season, avoids transfer to landfills, now saturated, which risk turning into real environmental bombs.

A problem underlined several times by the Prefect of Nuoro and which commits the participants in the summit to proceed quickly in this direction, to prevent dangerous environmental emergencies from occurring in the height of the tourist season.

To give consistency to the initiative, it was decided to adjourn the meeting to next week , with the Region which should provide, through the approval of the budget, the disbursement of 500 thousand euros, allocated by the Department of the Environment, precisely to restart the composting plant.

Meanwhile we are waiting for the Region's accounting department to release the million euro for the payment of back and future salaries of Tossilo Spa workers and service providers .
