More landings in Southern Sardinia: fifty people intercepted offshore by the Guardia di Finanza

Landings on the coasts of southern Sardinia continue unabated. This morning alone, around fifty migrants arrived. Most were intercepted off the coast of Sulcis as they prepared to reach land.

Escorted ashore by the Guardia di Finanza, they were taken to the commercial port of Sant'Antioco, where officers from the Carbonia police station and Frontex were present on shore. Further arrivals are expected later that evening.
