The bankruptcy proceedings of Tossilo Spa , the company that has always managed the Tossilo waste platform, have been declared extinguished by the Court of Oristano . The same court, in fact, accepted the reasons of the company, defended by the lawyers Brunello Acquas and Stefano Demuro, therefore taking note of the waiver of the appeal for judicial liquidation presented in 2023 by the Public Prosecutor 's Office of the same court, which has now declared the extinction of the proceedings. The request for judicial liquidation had been presented by a service provider company, precisely against Tossilo Spa, which was submerged in debt.
A situation that, to a large extent, has caused the various activities to slip. Tossilo Spa , through its lawyers, Brunello Acquas and Stefano Demuro, had opposed the judicial liquidation , presenting a repayment plan for the accumulated debts, which the Region, through the Departments of Labor, Industry and Environment, had financed. Mayor Riccardo Uda : «We take note of the outcome of the negotiation». Nothing more. Even the president of the Union of Municipalities, Franco Scanu , does not go beyond acknowledging the decisions of the Oristano court: «Tossilo Spa did not go bankrupt, thanks to the intervention of the Region, at the time, to repay the debts».
Satisfaction on the other hand from the president of Tossilo Spa, Mario Zacchino, liquidator of the industrial consortium : «Now the company can operate freely for the management of the entire waste platform, therefore also of the new waste-to-energy plant». Alessandro Porcu, mayor of Borore : «We welcome with interest and positivity the news of the waiver of the appeal for the judicial liquidation of Tossilo spa, which allows the company to continue, at least until expiry, with the testing activities of the waste-to-energy plant. A positive fact certainly for the workers and for the companies that exchange relationships with the company. From our point of view, the commitment requested from the Region, on the development of the industrial area of Tossilo, remains firm».
