Tortolì, falls and hits his head: 98-year-old rescued by helicopter

He fell and hit his head. In the impact, a 98-year-old grandfather, originally from Villagrande, suffered a head injury and to rescue him the 118 operations center of Sassari sent the Areus helicopter to Tortolì.

It happened at 5.30pm today in the countryside of the industrial area of Tortolì. The crew of the Green Cross of Tortolì intervened on site and recognized the precarious condition of the grandfather, who always remained alert and conscious during the rescue.

However, perhaps also as a consequence of the head trauma, the man had continuous regurgitation and from Sassari they alerted the staff of Echo Lima 1, the Olbia helicopter which reached the Tortolì airport from where it picked up the grandfather and transported him to Saint Francis of Nuoro.
