In Torre delle Stelle , "planning for the extermination of the feline community that inhabits the area of Via Alderamin" is underway.
The complaint comes on a social group that brings together residents of the seaside village: «In the immediate vicinity of the street», it reads, «we are finding, almost daily and for about two months, corpses of cats, poisoned as per veterinary reports: there are 16 to date».

The author of the report reports the content of article 544 of the penal code: "Whoever, through cruelty or without necessity, causes injury to an animal or subjects it to torture or behavior or fatigue or work that is unbearable due to its ethological characteristics is punished with imprisonment (from three to eighteen months or with a fine of 5,000 to 30,000 euros). The same penalty applies to whoever administers narcotic or prohibited substances to animals or subjects them to treatments that cause damage to their health. The penalty is increased by half if the facts referred to in the first paragraph result in the death of the animal."

Two reports have already been filed: "We have run out of patience," is the warning, "anyone who is able to provide information on these events can do so privately, in order to put into practice what is in our power to prosecute those responsible."
