An arrest has been made for the attempted murder which occurred during the night between Thursday and Friday in Torpè at the height of a family dispute. This is a 36-year-old who first threatened his father, Pasquale Melis, a 67-year-old former retired carabiniere, by holding a knife to his throat, and then beat him by hitting him on the head with a chair.

The father, who was rescued, was transported to the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro with serious injuries.
