The entrepreneur responds to the press release from the Guardia di Finanza of Sassari, which reported this morning on a seizure of 3.7 tons of marijuana inflorescences . An operation dating back to a month ago that also led to the denunciation at large of the owner of the agricultural company who, according to the accusation, would have hidden the cannabis in bags.
"The entrepreneur and the agricultural company in question," says Pietro Manzanares, owner of the Sardinia Cannabis project, "work in absolute legality, perfectly capable of demonstrating the traceability of the product and the regularity of the material. Today, a person and an entrepreneur are accused and exposed to media pillory without having the tools and skills. For several years, the company in question has proposed and been involved in a series of activities for the development and promotion of the hemp supply chain, having more difficulties than recognitions due to a changing and unclear regulatory context."
The Sardinia Cannabis association was founded in 2017 for the cultivation of hemp sativa in Sardinia, in the Sassari area. It is an Open Source Cultural Association for the support, research, promotion and enhancement of hemp and hemp cultivation in Sardinia, as stated in the institutional description.
"The material in question," the press release continues, "is nothing other than the result of material held in the company, consisting of dried 'whole plant' biomass that has been in storage for years. Material already analyzed, adequately documented and perfectly legal. Without prejudice to the absolute trust in the institutions, there remains a bitter taste in the mouth for an approach that is absolutely disjointed and amplified to the point of ridiculousness."
Meanwhile, the deputy prosecutor Giovanni Porcheddu has appointed Professor Mario Chessa as expert for the analysis of the substance while the defense, represented by the lawyer Marco Salaris, has chosen Professor Pierluigi Caboni.
