A sentence of one and a half years of imprisonment plus immediate expulsion from the Italian territory.

It is the sentence imposed on three Georgian citizens aged 28, 32 and 34 who tried to board from Cagliari Elmas airport to London with false passports .

The agents of the Border Police Office discovered them during the checks in the airport of the capital.

Thanks to the collaboration between the State Police and the British authorities, the operators of the Border Police on Saturday blocked the three just before boarding. Two of them had to reach London-Gatwick airport while the third was bound for London-Stansed .

By checking the passports issued by the Greek and Spanish authorities, the policemen discovered the counterfeiting: the data did not correspond to that contained in the microchip and in two cases they lacked electronic recognition.

The fake passports were seized and the three ended up in handcuffs and then tried.
