The Trexenta Experience appointment scheduled for today, Saturday 10 December, in Gesico, has been cancelled. It was to be held in Monte San Mauro, a panoramic point of the town and full of archaeological secrets. But due to the weather alert which will remain in force throughout the day, the municipal administration - putting people's safety first - has made the decision to cancel the day dedicated to archeology and the discovery of the area.

However, the appointment is only postponed, to a date to be determined. After the good participation of the previous stages in the towns of the area, there was much expectation to experience a whole day to discover the history and archaeological peculiarities of Monte San Mauro and the small country church dedicated to the saint.

The initiative was born within the Trexenta Experience program and event, a journey to rediscover the territory, strongly desired by the Union of Municipalities, where the absolute protagonist is the visitor who, through various stages - lasting two months - is involved in an emotional, sensorial, historical, environmental, but also physical and intellectual experience. The route, designed for weekend appointments, crosses and involves the towns of Senorbì, Ortacesus, Siurgus Donigala, Pimentel, Suelli, Guasila, Gesico, Selegas and Guamaggiore.

Trexenta Experience aims at enhancing archaeological resources, at what is called a "slow" and quality tourism that relies on the strength of culture, festivals and religious rites and tradition, be it musical, culinary, or customs and typical customs. In summary: an innovative cultural evolution of tourist use, where the guest becomes the main active actor   thanks to unforgettable experiences, in the suggestive archaeological sites.
