The vice president of the Health Commission of the Regional Council, Daniele Cocco, denounced it with a question.
"Surgery activities have been suspended in Alghero, and the Ophthalmology departments are also in great difficulty, both in Alghero and in Ozieri ", explains the opposition councilor. «A situation that is no longer sustainable deriving from the now chronic shortage of personnel, for which many departments are no longer able to guarantee the minimum levels of health care. A state of emergency reported several times by the same health workers who have been urging the introduction of new personnel for years but totally ignored by the leaders of the regional Ares ».
In recent years, Cocco points out, «Ares has approved various rankings for the recruitment of personnel in the various structures of the local health authorities on the island, without however assigning sufficient personnel to the structures in the districts of Ozieri and Alghero. A health catastrophe announced some time ago ».
