The agents of the 3rd section of the Flying Squad have identified and subjected a twenty-year-old resident in Oristano to a precautionary measure, responsible for numerous thefts in churches, shops, parking meters and to the detriment of unsuspecting citizens .

Last summer he robbed a couple of German tourists in the seaside village of Torregrande: taking advantage of a moment of distraction, he entered their camper and "cleaned up" it . Already at the time the police had traced back to him and had found part of the stolen goods hidden in the nearby pine forest of Torregrande, together with the spoils of other thefts along the beaches of the Sinis.

Subjected to the precautionary measure of the residence ban, once back in Oristano the young man resumed his old and bad habits .

Two thefts in the automatic cash machines installed in the parking lots in via Cagliari, two inside the Cathedral of "Santa Maria Assunta" in Oristano and four raids carried out inside the sanctuary "Madonna del Rimedio" in Donigala with the parish priest forced to limit access times to the detriment of the faithful who went for moments of prayer.

A serial bicycle thief, a few months ago he also tried to steal inside buildings owned by the Municipality of Oristano together with minors.

Again, he stole a wallet from a car on the Torregrande seafront, attempting to use credit cards but was stopped by personnel from the Flying Squad. A few nights ago, after having broken open the front door of a commercial activity, he stole a tablet and other material which he then tried to resell ; even in this case, however, it was identified thanks to the cameras.

The young man, recipient of the preventive measure of the Oral Notice of the Oristano Police Headquarters, however, continued to live with the proceeds of thefts he committed almost daily .

Despite the tricks designed to hide the stolen goods and camouflage clothes, thanks to the numerous video surveillance systems in the city and the police investigations, he was eventually identified and subjected to precautionary measures. Part of the stolen property was recovered and returned to its legitimate owners.
