"These have been wonderful years. We have dedicated our lives to a unique project in Sardinia. We thank all our friends and customers who supported us and stood by us." Thus begins the farewell message from the Pata Negra ham shop . The Quartu restaurant, which became famous for the video posted on social media by the owner capturing the NAS raid on the eve of Ferragosto (August 15th), is closing its doors. "Our adventure ends today," it continues, "we no longer have the strength to go on. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone." The signature is from "Max and the owners of the Prosciutteria," who apologize for disabling comments, "but we would like to avoid reading any more hatred and insults. I know you will understand. Thank you."

A video of the NAS raid, filmed by the owner of Pata Negra on August 14, went viral on social media. The owner described it as "an appropriate action because complaints were made against us regarding some ' bamboo woodworms ' found in some parts of the furniture. Never on the food served in the dining room. A vindictive report from some people who, according to them, had come to dinner at our restaurant and, after seeing some 'baby bugs' on the bamboo, hoped to avoid paying for the food they consumed. The chat messages in our possession will be included in the investigation."

The restaurant manager hadn't denied the presence of insects in the bamboo, but he had criticized the NAS officer for removing customers from their tables and for "their lack of humanity and understanding." Last week's post promised an update on the reopening. Today, however, the announcement: Pata Negra is closing .
