The fleet of zero-emission vehicles is increasing, aimed at promoting sustainable mobility in the Asinara National Park. Not only cars, scooters and electric bikes to travel the 26 kilometers of concrete road that cross the island from south to north.

The objective of the Park Authority is to bring electric buses to the Asinara area as well, to promote compatible mobility for the protection of its territory, especially in the summer season with the increase in the number of visitors. For this reason, the administration of the Park will donate to the Municipality of Porto Torres an electric-powered urban bus, complete with the recharging system intended for the transport of people on the island.

In fact, the last tender notice has been concluded, with the assignment of the supply of buses to the company Rampini Carlo of Passignano sul Trasimeno (Perugia). The next step will be the signing of the agreement between the two entities to transfer the vehicle to the Municipality, by virtue of a collaboration aimed at improving the environment of Asinara, the urban quality as a whole and the use and enhancement of the public space.

An agreement signed by the mayor Massimo Mulas and the park commissioner, Gabriela Scanu, which will allow for the definition of strategic agreements and projects with an indication of the areas of intervention, the timing, the methods of carrying out, the dedicated human and financial resources, in consideration of the specific role of the two entities.
