The week surgery at San Camillo starts: from 18 September the first scheduled interventions

This was announced during today's visit to the facility by the General Manager of the ASL 3 Paolo Cannas together with the Medical Director Serafino Ponti . Assisted by the company's clinical engineers and management and nursing staff, they viewed multiple wings of the hospital.
Definitive roadmap. On 5 and 6 September the first pre-admissions, on 18 and 19 of the same month the planned interventions . The inauguration ceremony of the new service is also expected shortly. «We have several projects for the hospital», said DG Cannas, «the week surgery one of the many essential ones, which will give new light to the facility. We are gearing up to ensure that everything proceeds in the best possible way».
The two new operating theaters have already been completed and are just waiting to start up. Substantial investments for new generation equipment: 180,000 euros for technologies and furnishings, 150,000 euros for a new video-laparoscope that will complement the existing one. At the same time, the latest interventions in the new ten-bed short-stay ward proceed unabated. The medical one, which will guarantee coverage of the service, is fully operational.
The new chief of surgery, Francesco Cabras, was also satisfied: «I am enthusiastic about being able to start this new challenge, bringing my skills to the territory». Another element: the arrival of two new outpatient cardiologists, Dr. Raffaela Tramaloni and Dr. Alessandro Arca. From Mandrolisai, the foundations for a new healthcare 2.0, breaking down the burdensome problem of waiting lists and guaranteeing support to the population. Thus reducing the eternal journeys to the principals of Nuoro and Cagliari.
