The Amerigo Vespucci passes in all its splendor off the coast of Sulcis. The queen of the Italian Navy is expected in the port of Cagliari tomorrow morning, a day earlier than scheduled.

She left Genoa on May 9th. After visiting North America on her world tour, she returned to Europe: her first stop was in Cadiz, Spain, before heading to Sardinia. The Vespucci will be docked at the Ichnua pier until September 16th. The possibility of a visit on board sold out in just a few hours, amidst a flood of reservations.

Meanwhile, today the training ship sailed several miles off the coast of southwest Sardinia. Late in the morning, it headed toward Cala Domestica, then passed Pan di Zucchero and returned to the island of San Pietro.

Late in the evening, as announced by the mayor of Calasetta, Antonello Puggioni, the ship approached the northern tip of the island of Sant'Antioco and then passed a few hundred meters from the Mangiabarche lighthouse.

On site, both near the lighthouse and in the area of the Sparrow's Nest, many curious onlookers gathered, not wanting to miss the passage of the most beautiful ship in the world.
