The union's complaint: "Rsa Monsignori Angioni, late salaries and exhausting shifts"

Paid in fits and starts and few. The Fials trade union defines the situation of the employees within Monsignor Angioni di Quartu as "explosive".

"The shifts show considerable suffering linked to the lack of staff", trade unionists Giampaolo Mascia and Giampaolo Cugliara denounce in a note, "and the imbalance in the relationship between the assistance staff and the hospitalized patients appears incredible, in particular almost all of them bedridden: yes register workloads that have become unsustainable during the day, and at night only one unit is operational for each department”.

For employee representatives "it is obvious that an adequate level of assistance cannot be guaranteed". Not only that: "Episodes relating to the risk of nocturnal intrusion into the structure are reported with alarming frequency".

Cugliara and Mascia ask whether "it is a normal fact that the employees, already heavily burdened by the irregular payment of salaries and the non-payment of contractual arrears, also have to bear, for a matter of economic savings, the fear for their own safety during the 'working activity".

An intervention is requested from the management of the structure "to overcome the critical issues as soon as possible".
