Provincial road 71 reopens to traffic, with alternating one-way traffic, in the section connecting Busachi and Samugheo. It had been closed since March 4, when the partial collapse of a bridge had made it necessary to close it. A situation of extreme inconvenience, especially since the provincial road had been reopened about a year ago after having been inaccessible for three years precisely because of a similar problem.
Now the nightmare is at least partially over : at Km 6+750, a one-way system will be introduced and only vehicles with a total mass of up to 7.5 tonnes will be able to travel along the entire stretch.
"While waiting to proceed with the replacement of the damaged crossing, temporary work has been carried out to allow the reopening to traffic," reads the note signed by the head of the Province's road sector.
The territory has once again had to endure many inconveniences in recent months: provincial road 71 is in fact a crucial hub for the towns of Mandrolisai, Barigadu, Guilcier and Montiferru. And to reach Samugheo, which in recent weeks has also been the location of the artistic craftsmanship exhibition, it was necessary to travel about 20 kilometers more, passing for example through Allai, another artery that presents problems. From the territory, the mayors are urging a decisive intervention.
