The classic sailing event created in 2004 with the charitable aim of raising funds for the study, prevention and treatment of tumors is repeated again this year. The "Solidarity Regatta", now "of age", will face the sea on Sunday 7 July starting from Cala Reale, in Asinara, to arrive in Stintino. At the end of the event there will be an awards ceremony sponsored by the Municipality of Stintino and Farmasinara, with refreshments at the Torres Nautical Club. The success of the initiative is made possible thanks to the technical support of the Circolo Nautico Torres, which deals with social initiatives to support cancer patients, the Italian Naval League and the Cormorano Marina. This year the event is included in the program of the eighteenth Congress of Sports Medicine and Cardiology scheduled for Friday 5 July and Saturday 6, during which the physical ability to sustain prolonged physical effort and the physical activity of patients will be discussed. A conference organized with the contribution of qualified doctors and professionals from Italian scientific and educational institutions. On Sunday we continue with the Solidarity Regatta, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Dragon Rosa project which deals with the rehabilitation of women who have undergone breast cancer surgery.
