The province of Nuoro reopens the Sindia ring road. After a long wait, the artery will once again allow traffic to be conveyed outside the town «with important benefits especially during the summer period, in circumstances of intense traffic. With positive effects, therefore, on a tourist and economic level, but also on a social level if we consider the reductions in traffic and pollution", explains the regional councilor for public works, Pierluigi Saiu, who today inaugurated the reopening of the junction along the state road 129 bis.
For the occasion, the councilor together with the commissioner of the Province of Nuoro and the local administrators participated in an inspection of the road section affected by the safety measures and in the subsequent meeting in the council chamber of the Municipality of Sindia to make the point on the work and, in general, on the Marghine-Planargia viability.
«The one on the ring road was a profound intervention to solve the serious critical issues due to subsidence and frequent flooding, especially during the winter period, in different parts of the route. Problems that have never been solved despite the numerous restoration works carried out over time», explains councilor Saiu.
The intervention, financed by the Region for 2.7 million euros, involved an initial section of 3.8 km out of a total of 6.7 km.
