The Sassarei Brigade is preparing to return to Lebanon, the theater it left at the height of the Israeli invasion of Palestine.
Exercise "Pegaso 2/2025" concluded yesterday at the Army Evaluation and Innovation Command in Civitavecchia. The training activity, which involved the Dimonios , is part of the Large Combat Unit's preparation cycle for its upcoming deployment to Lebanon as part of the UNIFIL mission.
"Through the use of the most modern simulation systems and thanks to the highly qualified support of the Comvie Exercise Department personnel," the Army General Staff reported, "the Brigade staff was able to confront a complex and highly realistic scenario, aimed at testing their planning, coordination, and decision-making response capabilities."
The exercise "involved numerous activations and simulated events, aimed at evaluating the application of operational procedures and consolidating their effectiveness. Some of the activities were also conducted at night, with the aim of increasing the realism of the operational scenario and the level of management stress for the trained personnel."
The Ministry of Defense is confident: "Pegaso 2/2025 represented an important opportunity for professional growth for the Sassari Brigade, confirming its high operational readiness and ability to operate effectively in complex multinational contexts."
